33.25 hours per week, 43.3 weeks per year (term time plus 5 training days)

Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy (LHEA) is a state-funded non-selective, all-ability, non-denominational secondary school.   We pride ourselves on the expertise of our teaching staff, a safe and supportive atmosphere for pupils, a broad and balanced curriculum (complemented by a programme of Enterprise and STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and the high standards we expect of our students and ourselves.

We are seeking to appoint efficient, enthusiastic individuals with excellent communication skills to work with young people in our busy school. You will be approachable, calm, caring but firm, have good ICT skills and may have experience of working with teachers and supporting students.  A high standard of literacy and numeracy is essential for this post, as is the enthusiasm to help raise the achievement of students. A willingness to undertake PE/Sport mentoring role would be an advantage.

Lynch Hill Enterprise Academy is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Head of Geography with high expectations of students and themselves and who will motivate and inspire pupils to achieve their best. You will have excellent relationships with students and staff and be keen to make Geography lessons exciting and engaging for all. The successful candidate will lead the new GCSE Geography course in year 10 as well as teaching geography at Key Stage 3.

It is an exciting time to join our school and humanities department as we move into our brand new state-of-the-art building and expand to welcome increasing numbers of students. In September 2017 there will be four year groups, including year 7, 8, 9 and 10. As the school grows, so will the department and the post will offer great development opportunities for the successful candidate.
